Taking the time to get to know each other

Don’t rush

Match gives you lots of ways to chat (messages, audio or video calls, dates at our events, etc.). Get to know each other before talking outside of Match platforms or meeting up in person.

Don’t hesitate to ask questions to help you spot anything suspicious or worrying.

When the time is right, suggest or accept a meet-up.

Always choose busy public areas for your initial meetings – never a private place, your home or the home of the person you are meeting.
